ART Equestrian Aquatrainer Presentation

With her “Art Reitsport” center, Manuela Pflüger has created a holistic range of services for horses and their owners: training, riding, and therapy. As a successful Western rider, trainer, and osteopath, she offers not only riding lessons, courses, seminars, and vacation care for horses, but also therapeutic services such as rehabilitation and wellness programs. Since 2017, she has been supported in her work by our Sascotec Horsepower horse treadmill and Aquatrainer. Manuela Pflüger chose our Aquatrainer because it offers ample space and is therefore suitable for horses of all sizes.

A heart rate monitor is used while the horses are on the Aquatrainer. This allows for the quick detection and immediate correction of overexertion, for example in horses with lung conditions or at the start of a training session. Through her center, Manuela Pflüger aims to promote movement and mobility in horses and help them build the right muscles. In addition to the Aquatrainer, the treadmill is also an essential part of training at Manuela Pflüger’s center. The speed of the Sascotec Horsepower machine is continuously adjustable, and the adjustable incline is a great aid for training and recovery. The heart rate monitor is also used with the treadmill. In addition, Manuela Pflüger frequently takes slow-motion footage, which allows her to closely observe the horse’s foreleg and hind leg movements—something that has already proven helpful during several subsequent farrier appointments.
