The Horsetrainer Elite 2.0 is Sascotec’s top product. The high, rounded side walls not only look good, they also minimize the risk of injury, especially for young, nervous horses. Sascotec treadmills are also longer than any other devices available on the market. This allows horses to run relaxed on the device without feeling confined. The treadmills can be supplied with optional belt speeds of up to 65 km/h. Both belt drums are also rubberized, making them quieter than a washing machine. Maximum operational safety is achieved through numerous mechanical and electrical precautions. These range from an easy-to-use touch panel (secured by mechanical push buttons!), an intelligent cover for the belt feed, the option of remote diagnosis and maintenance, an incline function, to optional upgrades such as a weighing plate. Scientific studies (Dahlkamp dissertation, WS03) have shown that the mostly hard floor panels used in various treadmills cause similar impact effects to running on asphalt, which puts additional strain on the joints.
