An aqua trainer for Hof Büchsenschinken: Part 1 – installation
(Hamburg) In November, we installed our Elite Aquatrainer in the elegant color anthracite in the far north. There were only two ways to get through the stable aisle to the therapy room: either convert the stable or dismantle the Aquatrainer. For understandable reasons, the stable was spared. So we dismantled our prized possession and took it apart into two transportable pieces. Under the watchful eyes of the Hönke family’s four-legged members, everyone pitched in and helped wheel the lower tank inside. The horses looked out of their stalls with curiosity. They had never seen anything like this at the “Pension Büchsenschinken.” Meanwhile, the boss herself washed the 20,000-liter underground tank, which will serve as the water supply for our aqua trainer in the future. Once inside, the heavy base tank had to be lifted into the prepared pit. And what do you do when one “Weidemann” is not strong enough for the weight of the stainless steel tank? Simple: you use two “Weidemänner”! After some maneuvering, the base was finally in place and the upper part of the device could follow. On the second day, the aqua trainer was aligned and the kaki filter connected – because what self-respecting horse wants to train in dirty water? Pumps and pipes were then laid, so that nothing stood in the way of commissioning – except for a thorough briefing. This took place a week later.
